The wrench is a melee weapon in Dead Island. It is a blunt weapon with a short range and moderate damage, and a high durability. The wrench can be found in many different locations throughout the Banoi Island. One can be obtained by completing the quest "A Ray of Hope".

The wrench is a large, heavy short range weapon with moderate damage. It uses up a lot of stamina per swing, allowing only 3-4 continuous swings before your stamina runs out, or 6-7 if playing as Sam B, so the player should consider using some other weapon instead when fighting a large group of enemies in the open. The wrench is a durable and reliable weapon, but without any blunt weapons perks it could be replaced with some some other weapon that consumes less stamina.
