The Sledgehammer is a blunt melee weapon featured in Dead Island. It can be found in many different variations throughout the Banoi Island. It has a large swing range capable of hitting multiple enemies in one swing. However, it also has a large stamina cost.

• At a cost of slow attack speed and high stamina consuming, the Sledgehammer is a powerful blunt weapon that will deliver high amount of force together with damage to the enemy.
• When equipped with the Tesla Mod it will send an enemy flying a good distance on a critical hit; even a Thug will be sent flying.
