Narapela map

Narapela Island is a location featured in Escape Dead Island and is the overall location of the entire game. It is a part of the Banoi Archipelago, being the second smallest island. Narapela is the least inhabited island in the entire chain, with only a few, small settlements most of which are for the workers of the port and GeoPharm laboratory. Because of its large, lush jungles and low population, the Royal Palms Resort did not build a hotel or exotic resort but the secrecy offered by the jungle is perfect for GeoPharm, who set up a large, sprawling lab complex both above and below the island.

Background[]

Like Banoi and the other islands in the archipelago, Narapela is located just off the coast of Papua New Guinea, however Narapela is the least built up of the chain. Nearly all of the island is still covered in a dense, lush, untouched tropical rainforest, with only isolated, small settlements scattered around the island. Due to its small size, Narapela is very mountainous, with various high mountain lines and peaks. However, thanks to these high peaks, the island is perfect for broadcast towers and weather stations, with several of these dotted on the highest points of the island. Due to its small population, the only corporation on Narapela is GeoPharm, who have a large subterranean laboratory complex housed under a large upper lab, where they have been conducting a lot of different, mostly dangerous and inhumane, experiments.

There's no resort set up on the island for travellers to the island chain, so the Royal Palms Resort is absent from this island, deciding instead to set up on Banoi and Amaia. The only other large site on the island is a large docks area which houses various large warehouses and most of the population that isn't scientists for GeoPharm. A small airfield is present on the island, but it can only service light aircraft, unlike the larger international airport built on Banoi. The only other place of note for the island is the residence of Emory Crown, who was the CEO of GeoPharm. Because the island is sparsely populated, Emory Crown built his own private villa on Narapela to live in the beauty that is the island.
