Knockin' on Heaven's Door is a hard difficulty side quest given to the Hero by James Stein in Dead Island.
Synopsis[]
The Hero must help the Survivors in the Lighthouse.
Walkthrough[]
- Talk to James to start the quest.
- He wants you to see what help you can give to the people of the Lighthouse, as you're immune to the infection.
- You only need to complete one side quest to finish this one, which is A Ray of Hope. See its dedicated page for the dedicated walkthrough and tips.
- Once you've completed the side quest, head back to the top of the Lighthouse and talk to James to finish this quest..
Trivia[]
- The name of this quest is based on the song with the same name by Bob Dylan. This song has been subsequently covered by numerous artists, including Eric Clapton and Guns N' Roses. (See the Wikipedia "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" article for more information.)
Glitches[]
- If the player begins the side-quest "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and has already completed the side-quest A Ray of Hope, the player will be told to talk to James again, but will not be able to. If the player simply accepts all quests offered when they are offered, this will not be a problem.
- One possible way to fix this is to go to the lighthouse, then going to the main menu and then pressing continue the game. This should update the game and you should be able to talk to James.
