The Jungle Village is a location featured in Dead Island. It is a small village located in the centre of the Jungle. Before the outbreak, Amanda and her camera crew were staying at the village whilst filming in the area, however when it was overrun by Zombies, the crew and villagers were killed and Amanda was the only one to escape alive. She gives the Heroes the side quest Show Must Go On to retrieve the camera from the village, which is now teeming with zombies and Infected.

Layout[]

The village is a collection of various jungle huts much like the River Village, however luckily the area of land they are built on is far flatter than the River Village, making traversing it a little easier. The huts are all built either on stilts or flat to the ground and are constructed in the traditional style. They are made of either wood or bamboo with double door main entrances and side single door entrances. The rooves are made of wood planks and often covered in foliage that has fallen down from the canopy above. Inside the huts, some have walled dividers inside them to create separate rooms whilst others are open, as one large, square room. There is a road connection out the main entrance of the village though not all the village is accessible via car, with access stopping upon reaching the main village centre.

Notes[]

  • Personal ID Card 70 can be found here near a workbench.
  • Personal ID Card 71 can be found in the same bungalow as the camera needed for the aforementioned quest.
  • It is the second dangerous location confirmed by some players in Dead Island since it shares similar things with the Quarantine area and Infected spawn unlimited in a village house like Quarantine.
  • Mongina is close to this location.
