Houston is a survivor in Dead Island: Riptide. He can be found in the Halai Village Safe House in the Flooded jungle. He is first met by the Heroes after they gain access to the safe house following the main quest Where the Dead Live. He asks the Heroes for some painkillers, starting the continuous quest Kill the Pain. He will remain at the Halai Village safehouse for the rest of the game, paying the heroes for each bottle of painkillers they bring him.

Houston is a middle aged man with shaved brown hair and a full beard. He wears a green t-shirt, brown pants held by a black belt, and black shoes. He also wears a silver watch on his right wrist, a gold necklace, and a light brown messenger bag. In the Definitive Edition, he has darker skin, black hair, and a grey beard.
