Garett Grant is a survivor featured in Dead Island. He is located in the city of Moresby.
Background[]
He is first encountered during the side quest Message to the Masses, in which the Hero must deliver Mother Helen's recording to him. He's located in a recording studio across Moresby from the Church, which is a dangerous trek to reach.
After giving the recording the Garett, he then gives the Hero a series of three side quests: The First Head of Cerberus, The Second Head of Cerberus, and The Third Head of Cerberus. In there, the Hero must activate a series of loudspeakers across Moresby to help spread Mother Helen's message which was on that recording. The final reward for these quests is the Piranha Mod.
After starting his final side quest, the hero returns to Garett and he tells them that he will stay in his house to watch over the loudspeakers system. Garett is still alive and safe in his recording studio, keeping the message playing via the loudspeakers. Indeed, when you next pass near any of them, you can hear the recording playing from them.
Appearance[]
In both the original game and the definitive edition, Garett has a randomized appearance. It's unknown why Garett has no assigned unique character model, since he is a named NPC and a quest giver.
