Floater Meat

The Floater Meat is a miscellaneous item featured in Dead Island and in Dead Island: Riptide. It's used for creating a specific weapon modification and can be obtained by killing a Floater or found in specific places. It appears as a clump of raw, bloody meat taken from a Floater.

Purchased from various Merchants for $1,500 before discounts or anything is applied.
- Wayne at the Lifeguard Tower at the Resort can occasionally sell Floater Meat.
- Rodrigue at Saint Christopher's Church in Moresby can sell Floater Meat.
- Michael Stick in the Mingende Jungle can rarely sell Floater Meat.
- Brian at the Prison can sell Floater Meat.
- Batram can sell Floater Meat at Mataka Village before he leaves the area shortly after meeting him, leaving a small opportunity to purchase from him.
- Aubrey in Henderson can sell Floater Meat.
In debris piles scattered in the Sewers and the Jungle (small chance).
There are three static spawn locations within the Laboratory (see details below).
Several respawning Floater meat can be found at the Unmarked Laboratory location

Notes[]

Although Floater Meat is relatively rare before reaching the Laboratory, it can only be used to craft one weapon mod, one which is only made available after reaching the Laboratory. As it becomes relatively easy to obtain after that point, any special efforts to obtain Floater Meat prior to reaching the Laboratory should be avoided.
Both it and the Suicider Meat can't be used to craft Meat Bait, despite them still being raw meat.
