The Brass Knuckles are a blunt melee weapon featured in Dead Island. Brass Knuckles are worn on the fists, and can be found in lootable containers (metal chests, etc.) as well as merchant inventories throughout the game.
They are an effective weapon when utilized by Sam B, whose Fury abilities specialize in hand-to-hand combat and the use of Brass Knuckles. Similarly, because Sam B's Combat Skill Tree is focused on Blunt Weapons, Brass Knuckles are a very functional (albeit unorthodox, and potentially more dangerous given the close range necessary) option when playing as him.
John Morgan, in Dead Island: Riptide, specializes in hand-to-hand combat, making better use of Brass Knuckles and other fist-weapons than Sam B.
Varieties[]
- Badass Brass Knuckles
- Brutal Brass Knuckles
- Exotic Brass Knuckles
- Heavy Brass Knuckles
- Light Brass Knuckles

Notes[]
- Brass Knuckles are very easy to find in Moresby.
- Various Merchants can sell Brass Knuckles:
- Rodrigue at Saint Christopher's Church in Moresby can sell them.
- Eric Cotner, Cahaya Dian and Kurt Keeble, also in Moresby all have slots to sell Brass Knuckles.
- Trevor Rogers can sell Brass Knuckles in Dead Island: Riptide.
- Also in Riptide, Bruce at Halai Village can sell them after completing his side Quest White Line, after which he becomes a merchant.
- They have very low stamina consumption and inflict medium damage.
- The Exotic Brass Knuckles are extremely rare and hard to come by. Therefore, it's not very often the players will get to use the Juggernaut Gauntlets Mod.
- Despite the user having a hand-to-hand combat slot, brass knuckles are considered a separate weapon and will always take up an additional combat slot.
- Brass Knuckles are, in Dead Island, classed as blunt weapons, however in Riptide they are classed as hand-to-hand. This means Sam B's skill tree bonuses will only apply to them in Dead Island, not Riptide, as John Morgan is the hand-to-hands specialist.
