The Slicer is a type of sharp melee weapon featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It can be given out as a Quest reward, sold by various Merchants and found in Metal chests or on killed Zombies.
It's a small blade similar to a cleaver. They typically have a low durability, much like a knife, although they can deal a lot of damage and are deadly when upgraded fully.

- Various merchants can sell Slicers:
- Wayne at the Lifeguard Tower can sell one.
- Javier Wimsatt at the Lighthouse can also sell a Slicer.
- Rodrigue at Saint Christopher's Church can sell one.
- Kurt Keeble in Moresby can sell one.
- In Riptide, Zoey can sell one dependant on how many levels of her Team Quest Best Merchandise for Zoey have been completed.

- Although referred to as Slicers, blueprints will list the weapon as a cleaver.
