Ned is a survivor featured in Dead Island. He is first met by the Heroes when they first arrive at the Lighthouse during the side quest On the Air but he refuses to acknowledge the heroes as they pass him, instead facing the wall. After helping out a few of the other survivors located in the Lighthouse, Ned finally talks to the heroes. It appears that the reason he seemed so hostile is because he's starving. He then gives out the continuous quest Wind in the Stomach to bring him canned food. He remains at the Lighthouse and will continue to reward the heroes with cash for the canned food they bring.
Appearance[]
Ned is an older man with brown hair and a full beard. Unlike most male survivors in the Resort, Ned is fully clothed with a red shirt, a white undershirt, beige shorts, white socks, brown shoes, and a white golf cap. He also wears an orange band on his right wrist and a black watch on his left.

- Ned will often be smoking, possibly to relieve some of the pain from his hunger.
- Each time you enter the Lighthouse, Ned will likely be facing the wall again and will turn to face you as you near him.
