The Lost is an easy difficulty side quest given to the Hero by Steven in Dead Island.
Synopsis[]
The Hero is asked by Steven to locate his friend Maggie, who went with James Stein to the Lighthouse while Steven stayed with John Sinamoi.
Walkthrough[]
- Talk to Steven to start the quest.
- He wants you to search for Maggie, as he's becoming increasingly worried about his decision to stay with Sinamoi rather than going with James to the Lighthouse.
- No quest icon will appear on the map, so if you're a new player, you won't know where to go.
- If you can, complete the side quest Lazarus Rising to unlock the car at the Lifeguard Tower once the group has moved in.
- Take the car and follow the road all the way to the first gas station you see. If you don't want the car, take a stroll along the beach or follow the road on foot.
- There'll be a winding road up towards the Lighthouse. Head up it and enter the Lighthouse.
- Sitting on a mat will be Maggie.
- Talk to her to continue the quest.
- After talking to her, fast travel back to Steven and talk to him to finish the quest.
Notes[]
- After completing the quest, Steven disappears from the Lifeguard Tower but never appears at the Lighthouse, implying he died en route or it is an error.
- This is the only quest you can receive before unlocking the first fast travel safe house, as you can talk to Steven just after Blood on the Sand, since he is the only person who gives out a side quest from that location.
