Try not to get killed, right. I hate losing a good customer.
— Cahaya, humorously stating that the Hero is a good customer.

Cahaya Dian is a survivor featured in Dead Island.

Background[]

He is located in the northwestern section of the city of Moresby, across the junction from the Police Station. Cahaya is a merchant, and the Hero can purchase weapons and parts off of him. Like many of the 'independent' merchants in the city, he stands behind a locked, barred door and has blocked off the area directly in front of his store so that the infected cannot attack him. He is first seen by the heroes generally when they are travelling to the Pump Station during the main quest Drowned Hope when they near the Police Station.

Appearance[]

Cahaya is a middle aged man with brown hair and a full beard. He wears along a blue sleeveless t-shirt, beige pants held by a brown belt, white socks, brown boots, and a brown stetson hat.

Notes[]

  • For some reason, in Ryder White's Campaign, the shop he is normally is in completely missing. If you go to where he is normally found, the barricade is still there around it but the shop is replaced by a completely solid, blank wall.
  • Cahaya and his shop can be seen as a sort of 'halfway point' between the Church and Pump Station, as there is a workbench practically next to his shop as well as he himself being a merchant, allowing the heroes to repair their weapons and replace them with his wares if so desired.
  • He is incredibly greedy, telling the heroes not to get themselves killed, because he needs them for money.
