Lucy is a survivor featured in Dead Island.
Background[]
She is found in the same bungalow as Hector Lecter, located near the Royal Palms Resort. She appears to have been traumatized by the outbreak, continuously mumbling about all the blood. She is met by the hero when they travel to Bungalow 15 in search for Teddy, the teddy bear owned by Anne Snider as a part of her side quest Toy Story. Lucy is sheltering in the bungalow along with Hector Lecter, though Lucy is clearly in a state of shock and trauma, curled up on the floor, mumbling to herself. She makes no reaction to Hector attacking the heroes and his resulting demise, and doesn't interact with the heroes as they approach her and take the teddy bear. If the heroes return to the bungalow after meeting her, she is missing with her ultimate fate unknown, though given her state of mind and the fact that she was left defenseless against the Zombies, it's possible that she was killed by zombies entering the bungalow, or she wandered off in a dazed state and was killed elsewhere, It's also possible she was found and saved by some survivors.
Appearance[]
Lucy is a young woman with short brown hair. Like most female survivors in the Resort, Lucy wears a bikini with no shoes or other clothing. The bikini is purple. She also wears several beaded necklaces and a fitness tracker on her upper left arm.
Trivia[]
- Lucy appears to be suffering from a mental breakdown, as she does not react to her surroundings and appears to be reminiscing on a traumatizing event that happened prior to the Hero finding her.
- Anne Snider's teddy bear, the primary focus of the side quest Toy Story, is located in bungalow 15 with Hector and Lucy.
- Due to the likelihood of Hector Lecter possibly being a reference to the song "Helter Skelter" by the famous English rock band The Beatles, it can also be interpreted that, due to their close proximity, Lucy is a reference another song by The Beatles titled "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".
- It is possible to lead some zombies to Lucy and have them attack her. If they start attacking, Lucy will stay curled up and repeat her lines until she is killed.
- She shares the same dialogue as Carla in the Town Hall.
- Lucy appears in the introduction, dancing to Sam B.
- It is unknown how Hector and Lucy ended up in Anne Sniders' and Jennifer Sniders' bungalow.
