A Tough Nut to Crack is a side quest given to the Hero by Jared Miles in Dead Island.

SynopsisEdit

The Hero must help Jared and his friend Thomas break into a weapons shop. Upon entering the shop, the Hero finds a large cache of weapons. Once the door is unlocked for Jared and Thomas, the alarm goes off, attracting a group of zombies. After the zombies are dealt with, Jared offers the Hero a reward.

TriviaEdit

• Jared and Thomas only appear upon reaching Act III, when the Hero returns to Moresby in order to get the boat supplies.
• The Shock Shotgun Mod is located on a shelf in the back room during this quest.
• If the Player returns later on, Jared and Thomas will be gone.
